I want to find an indie girl
And I want to share my indie world with her
Singing songs that no one else knows
As we take off all of our clothes
We'll listen to those English bands
With Sheffield accents we can't quite understand
All cause we're American
And we'll lay down and listen to Belle and Sebastian
I think I've found my indie girl
Now isn't she so wonderful
She's got my mind racin
Where is my mind? Chase it
I just want to know
And we'll lay down and listen to those records
And wait around for something special to happen
But I'll wait for her
I want to find an indie girl
But she isn't what I'd thought I'd find
She's just another ordinary girl
She's just
She's just an ordinary girl
And the indie girl is only in my mind
I have several problems with a member of this band, so I'm disinclined to like this album. However, exceptional music speaks for itself, and this album really is exceptional, from the guitar work to the vocals to the production. As painful as it is for me to write these words, this is among the best releases of the year and firmly belongs in the collection of anyone who cares about contemporary indiepop. Michael Feck
L.A.'s Smokescreens recall the moment when post-punk transformed into indie pop on their David Kilgour-produced full-length. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 3, 2020
A new album of perfect low-key gems from Kim Weldin of Tape Waves' unassuming bedroom pop side project Shiny Times. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 15, 2019
An Indiepop gem, filled with infectious grooves which occasionally delves into Blondie terroritory, ala Burn Us Down. Love this album and already looking forward to what's lies ahead. Mike Delejewski
