it bears good love to us to see snowdrops in the spring
and it bears good love to us to watch burnt leaves falling
it bears good love to me to see bugs crawling in your hair
it bears good love to me to hear you wishing i was there
and i don’t think of you at all
at least thats what i say
but i still press every flower
hoping that you’ll come back someday
i’ve been working real hard yeah i try my best
but i still play daydream at school
i wash my hands after eating taffy
but my mind's still stuck on you
I have several problems with a member of this band, so I'm disinclined to like this album. However, exceptional music speaks for itself, and this album really is exceptional, from the guitar work to the vocals to the production. As painful as it is for me to write these words, this is among the best releases of the year and firmly belongs in the collection of anyone who cares about contemporary indiepop. Michael Feck
L.A.'s Smokescreens recall the moment when post-punk transformed into indie pop on their David Kilgour-produced full-length. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 3, 2020
A new album of perfect low-key gems from Kim Weldin of Tape Waves' unassuming bedroom pop side project Shiny Times. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 15, 2019
An Indiepop gem, filled with infectious grooves which occasionally delves into Blondie terroritory, ala Burn Us Down. Love this album and already looking forward to what's lies ahead. Mike Delejewski
